I attached a back mudguard to my seat post this morning.

Boom! winter bike.

What you can't see is the new white raceblades i've popped on. Theory being that an all white bike will make it more obvious for me to need to clean it...

do you rate the race blades. I was thinking of building a specific wet / winter weather bike with full mudguards. Are the race blades just as good?

Just installed the raceblades, so no opinion yet. Better than a wet arse any day i'd imagine! And yes, Vittoria Rubinos. Bit of a bugger to get on - tight things.

Dependent on wheels.
On my Ultegra's they are a little tight, on my Velocity Rims they are much looser.

100mile review: tyres are dead comfy to ride on.

SKS raceblades love my tyres. To the extent of spending most of their time rubbing up against them. 6 unscheduled stops last night to readjust the rear mudguard so that it stopped shredding my lovely red tyre. I will be taking a good, long look at these over the weekend and fixing them so they don't f**k with my ride.

Race blades will do a job but they are not as good as full guards. That that said I use them as I like to have the option of removing them easily.

I just put some Crud Catcher Roads on my bike - second day out the front one clipped my stoe, mangled itself into the spokes of my wheel and brought to a screeching halt (at Piccadilly Circus nonetheless...). Not sure how a feel about them yet but the back one seems sound enough and does stop the wet streak of muck up my back.
