Forgive my ignorance but the Watchdog feature on above was next to bloody useless was it not?
Grabbing unencrypted data packets from nodes on same network is hardly a dark art .... it doesnt need a 'hoodie' to show it up for something shameful...

Anyways.. those smug corporate types with their company laptops can use a VPN to secure their data transfers on a public network... BUT
again excuse my stupidity .. and Watchdog FAILED to help anyone who is a stand alone non corporate Jo Bod.. how the hell can we encrypt all our traffic when using a public wireless network?

Tunnel all your traffic over SSH.

And don't set your laptop to automatically connect to any networks (even known ones!) lest you fall victim to something like Jasäger.

I also recall that three or four years ago, Google offered a free encrypted VPN/proxy you could use when on an unencrypted wireless network. Can't find any sign of it now though.
