Haven't been able to commute by bike for the last week because I'm working further away. It appears the cycling bug has bitten because I really miss it... I'm jealous of all the cyclists I see en route (even the poor sod battling the wind on the Forth Bridge tonight).

Going to have to go for a wee ride at the weekend I think!

I know how you feel, I hate taking the Bus. I came across the FRB at about 10pm last night but the wind was only 19mph then (38mph gusts) I would have hated to be there today.
If you fancy a wee ride on Sunday some of us are of to Linlithgow for a ride (CC Central Scotland Forum Ride).

Aye, I've been lurking in that thread.

I'm tempted but don't think I'll be able to keep up with you guys.

Bitten....you got the bug...go for it........it's a massive encouragement....

Not being funny, but lots of folk on here don't have time for a club - I used to be a Club Treasurer/Secretary - it's hard work for just 20 or so folk..... I'd love to be in a club now as I'm fit, but I can't give the time.....this is where CC comes in.... we have a massive mixed bunch of folk, so what... let's go for a ride......

Lots just commute only, lot's just do 'rides/training', a fair few race......, - so a big variety.....

There is no pressure....if you turn up, you'll be looked after. !!

OK, I'm suitably encouraged... will glance through the thread again....

Take a chance, my first outing, on a hybrid with 4 stone of excess lard to haul up the hills. Remember, it's the man not the machine that matters.

I would come along to one of these, but you always seem to pick the weekend I am working:whistle:

Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. It's nothing to do with being a lazy lardarse that would rather lay in bed (Am I sounding a bit defensive here?)
