According to that definition, I'm not a "cyclist" then, as I just own and ride bikes - rather than ponce around in all the fashion show gear trying to kid myself I've got anything in common with pro riders earning a living..
I have Dutch friends in Amsterdam. They live in a narrow, five storey house by one on the canals in the centre. The basement has a washing machine and enough space to store their seven bikes. They aren't even "Cyclists".

I’m going to throw this into the mix, a bit of blue sky, push the envelope, out of the box thinking. Save yourself a load of cash and buy a good Dawes Kingpin for less than £50.00.

They’re practical.
They’re easy to ride
They’re very easy to maintain
They’re undesirable to thieves.
They’re cooler than Cool Hand Luke

An example.

Folding versions are available if storage space is tight.

This is my wife's bike, its an Ebike now, but I bought it standard and converted it. 8 Speed hub gear, disc brakes comfy riding. The only downside is no full chain guard if you're wearing dresses
