Woodstove from Ebay

Has anyone bought a woodstove from Ebay, and was it a good buy. I keep thinking is it worth spending £500/700 on something which after a couple of weeks use it will look alot older anyway.Who cares if its a import, most of the goods are, in this country anyway

I would be wary of buying an import on ebay as it may be constructed using low quality steel. The temps get to around 400 degrees!

What sort of stove are you thinking of? We're on our second Villager stove & they are about £400.

My experience with wood stoves is you get what you pay for.
Two very similar, one double the price of the other. There is usually a reason.

Had a Villager stove in my old house. Now have a large and a small Arrow stove in my current house.

If I was buying again, I'd cough up the extra for a Clearview or a Woodwarm. As mentioned, you get what you pay for.

I miss having a stove though I dont miss the hour spend frozen on the boat waiting for it to heat up.
