Just thought I'd share a word of warning about my experiences with a theatre ticket seller called Theatre Line :gun:

We're due to see One Man, Two Guvnors at the Theatre Royal Haymarket on Saturday and my wife purchased 6 tickets for the show through these cowboys. Despite numerous promises about tickets being sent, still nothing has arrived. Now being told to turn up at the box office to collect on the day and obviously we're not confident there will be actually anything there to collect

Been doing some digging on them as alarm bells started to sound a couple of weeks ago. Wish I'd seen this thread on TripAdvisor before my wife booked with them - http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g186338-i17-k5809050-Theatre_line-London_England.html

Realise the error of our ways but wouldn't want anyone else to fall into the same trap. It's actually my birthday tomorrow and we're down in London with some friends to help celebrate. It won't ruin the weekend but it does take the shine off it somewhat but hopefully this will stop a few others falling into the same trap:stop:

Thanks for the warning. As you say, dont let it ruin your weekend.
The Trip Advisor reviews say it all really.
It appears that you will either get some tickets, but they are cheaper than the ones you have paid for, or you get no tickets!
Hope you booked with a credit card?
My wife booked some fake tickets for a concert via "MasterTickets", they have since been closed down. She got the money back via the credit card.
On the plus side the weather will be fine this weekend, so grab 6 boris bikes and go exploring!

My wife booked them on her debit card but reasonably confident we can get the money if we don't get any tickets. Hopefully we will have tickets at the box office. Not gone for especially expensive seats so I can handle that bit, just irritating when all we should be doing is looking forward to the weekend.

On the real plus side, I'll be down to Decathlon Surrey Quays on Sunday to order my Triban 3. My birthday pressie to myself :bicycle:

I have no good expectations of third party ticket sources given the number of stories about them.
If I can't get tickets from the theatre directly, at face value, then I don't bother. That also means I tend not to go out of my way for a show so they tend to be NW theatres.

I always try and use Ticket Master - excellent service, and even got a big refund from them when we were unable to get to the theatre because of weather and hadn't taken out the insurance - I was very, very pleased
