Words you often type incorrectly

Grrrrrr, for me it's 'environmental'. I'm typing up an environmental management system document so it's really pissing me off!

9 times out of 10 I have typed 'enviromnenal'.

Others include alkali (alkili), maintenance (maintanance) and refrigeration (refridgeration). I always have to really concentrate to get them right.



Anyone else have a block with certain words?

I'm having a spell of typing aslo instead of also. Dunno why.

Just set up an autocorrect rule so that you type "envi" or similar, and the doc autocorrects to "environmental". I do this a lot as I have a bunch of key words that I use all the time for work.

i use Openoffice. i would imagine it is in tools or options. try the help (f1?) option and search for autocorrect

I always manage to not put a space between 'with' and 'the', becomes withe.

To my shame, I had to look up 'bureaucracy' for my sig line.

All touch-typing rather than spelling errors: enviromnent for environment; variations on 'geography'; and erm, my own surname!

what exactly do you mean - words you know how to spell yet type incorrectly or just don't know how to spell?

I get trouble with filed <> field often - I am convinced I am typing it correctly but outlook or word is pre-empting what I want to say and is changing the word.

As it happens in this post, I typed mean (mean) and that has happened before so it may be a case of finger sync.

For sure, I know how to spell nearly all the words I use.
