Workplace parking

I have never driven to work, as it is so impractical....

• parking space at work is around £8,000 a year.

This from gaz on another thread prompts me to ask what the going rate for a car parking space is at your place of work and, roughly, where that place of work is.

My workplace is in central london and there are limited places.

Desks in our building are worth £10,000 a year.

My employer (blue chip) pays £500 per space per year. On the outskirts and less glamorous part of Leeds. Parking is free for staff but there is a 3+ month wait for a permit.

£15.00 per month to park at 4 sites of a large NHS Trust in Manchester (space not guaranteed) so £180.00 pa. The wifey uses our car for her commute and I cycle to work. My space costs me nowt.

Around £21 per month NHS trust. Going up next year. Luckily I commute by bike every day

Lots and lots, and it's free, but I no longer use it. Reasonable bike parking too.

I work for a large NHS Trust and pay £2 per month (£24 pa) for cycle parking, but then again I get my own locker for that!

We have a 12 story building in the City of London.
Around 1,200 members of staff in two major companies plus a number of smaller companies

• Free secure cycle parking for about 100 bikes with showers, lockers and fluffy white towels
• Free semi-secure motorbike parking for about 30 bikes with lockers (and showers if required)
• Free car parking for 15 cars, space needs to be booked a few days in advance, done on a first come fist served basis, only two guaranteed spaces, for the company delivery van and the the other for the shared chauffeur driven company car.
• Cars driven into central London have to pay a £12 (€18, $17) toll charge per day, so the parking may be 'free' but it's still many time more than the cost of public transport (and of course slower)

An American visiting our office recently had hired a car at Heathrow, and was most surprised when he was told the fastest, cheapest, easiest way to the office was to dump the car at airport and come in on the train.

Free, secure, underground allocated spaces - mostly based on seniority / length of service, rota for newer / more junior staff

Also, some space for bikes / motorbikes...if full when I ride in, I can leave my bike in my car space which is next to the bike space lol

I rent a 32 square metre business unit in London SW8. It comes with two parking spaces in the off-road car park outside. I've probably used one of them less than twenty times in the last year. The bike leans against my desk. I really ought to sublet the parking to desperate commuters

Got fluffy white towels at work as well. Unfortunately the facilities people at work think that the towels need to be split 50/50 between the men and women, despite only around 20 women using the showers at work and over 100 men.
