Won the eBay auction for a New Hudson mans bike.
Looks second-hand to me!
Well done, though - you gonna do it up as a project?

*hands Maz his coat*

Yeah, going to do it up, but it said in the auction that their daughter rode it to the shops and the tyres held air, so I'm wondering if it will be possible to ride it from the train station in Manchester back to Salford just for the fun of it! (Got to travel to Crewe to collect it)

It's gonna cost to make it road worthy but if you want it to restore for a bit of fun then thats fine.

I just sold an immaculate 13 y.o. Merlin mtb ont'bBay for 65 quid. Now that was a bargain

Is that a used 1953 BSA Regency de-luxe? Minus chainguard and with the Brooks B67 saddle instead of the normal B73?

I have a Raleigh Elite that is between twenty and thirty years old, in the garage. It is to big for me but I will use it as my winter project then sell it some time next year. I will post some pictures at the weekend of how it looks at the moment, then some when it is finished.

Well it says 53 on the gear hub. How can you tell that just by looking at a bad picture?
Don't know about the saddle, but it needs replacing. It says "BR" on it, but is like cardboard!

Although the restoration is not yet complete, the bike is now in a ridable condition. So I decided to use it to cycle to the chippy the other day to test ride it (and just for the fun of it!).
I've never been given so much room on the road!
