Brilliant idea, here in the UK we are so far behind that possibility we may as well still be living in mud huts.
The carbon positive house is easily doable with today's building methods, and not a lot more expensive, but until the government gets in finger out and starts the construction now of 100,000 new carbon positive houses a year, in the UK two decades from now we will be living in a virtual museum, paying through the nose for fuel to heat them.

The housing is doable indeed, but here in Finland the biggest expenditure so far has been the moisture issues related to the structural design of the housing.
