I found this sitting in one of the folders on my laptop.
A quick search said something about an IM service called 'Pidgin'. I have never heard of it and from what I can see no one has installed it on my laptop.

Does anyone know what it is? Where is came from? Do I need to get rid of it? If so will a simple delete do it or is something more serious needed?

It's a rogue file that deletes the last three letters of certain words.
