Tasty. One question, noting the front and rear pannier racks; will those wheels be up to the task of the potential weight the bike may carry?

I'm not planning on using panniers yet other than storing helmet and shoes in when I go for a run.....they've been good wheels so far (5yrs plus). But I will replace at some point with something more suited

I'm thinking of going for something like that one day when funds permit. I currently have two road bikes which are at the sporty end of the spectrum, but I don't have anything really suited to bad weather, load carrying, or minor off-road. I would be happy to let my Basso go and replace it with a light-touring/audax bike. I would put a triple chainset on mine though.
