aye, i've always intended building my own as the price of a rim and a hub isn't much... it was only when i factored in the 72 spokes i realised the actual build (from Spa) was costing a mere 20-30 quid; 10-15 per wheel, which at a first attempt to build my own would probably take me all weekend.

I did it because I needed the old British 27 inch wheels.
