I was wondering where MRs AF had got too:becool::smile:

I was in Newcastle in May on a cycling weekend, it was a bank holiday I think & there were two young girls walking gingerly down the hill - don't know the street but it was the one with the great buildings, the road sweeping steeply down to massive railway arches. The paving was slippery and they were clinging together. I couldn't walk on the flat in those shoes, let alone on a hill.

I think this has been on before, but in relation to this thread, I think it is worth another watch!!!

good one Maggot, Seen that a few years ago and forgot about it. Hilarious.

The first girl pictured in the Newcastle bit made me spit a mouthful of coffee everywhere and the couple where he's had a right tanking and is covered in brusies as just so funny.

Of course there's nothing like lumping all Geordies into a stereotype is there. I suppose all Glaswegians are Neds and look like Rab C Nesbitt? ;)

If you hang around in the Bigg Market thats exactly what you'll get.

Otherwise there are some great bars and resturants, where the girls tatoos are spelled right:biggrin:

It was a photo from Newcastle. They have UK wide a reputation for wearing t shirts and no jackets when it's freezing. There have even been songs written about it by Geordies.

Everywhere has it stereotypes and everywhere has a reputation for something. Not my opinion just a fact

just like people from Liverpool get the thieving tag, folk from fife get the tight with money, Aberdeen get the sheep sh*gging tag and folk from Norfolk get the inbred tag.

Now some of these stereotypes are there for a reason and if you've ever been to Newcastle in the middle of winter you'll see the majority of the people are like this in a certain part of the town. Not all Geordies are like this of course. But the ones who go to certain bars and clubs are. It's a FACT!!

Now if you care to have a look at the 3 pictures again you will notice that not one person has on a jacket on apart from 1 and she is is so drunk and out of it she's lying in the snow.

Maybe you should do that and chill out!!

I think having been reminded, it's Grey Street. There's the monument at the top and a large municipal building with pillars on the right.

It was interesting seeing all the minute items of clothing, even shorter than the minis I used to wear in the ****s

Grey street is the top end, and the monument is actually Greys Monument. The part you reffered to earlier where the arches are is actually Dean St near is Junction with The Side.
Dean Street is the continuation of Grey St after its junction with Collingwood St.

And you were right there are some great buildings around that area.

Yep that`s Dean Street. It runs from Mosley St to Side and if you were from the Toon you would know that.;)
