A request about Youtube links on "Fave-song" type threads...

Just a thought...
On those great threads about different types of fave music/performances etc, please could we name the artist and the song in the post as well as the youtube link. It would stop an awful lot of youtube openings to find out whether the song is of interest or not. At work Youtube watching is strictly verboten anyway, but the thread can still be enjoyed by reading peoples song suggestions.

So all we need to do now is claim a link is to a Baz Luhrmann video, or maybe something by Leonard Cohen, Fab Foodie will jump in there excitedly, and it will in fact be a link to some lovely hardcore porn that he can enjoy with his colleagues......

I'd agree with that FF. The tingly songs thread became a bit of a chore, especially when most of the contributions featured gurning men! :?:

I'd also like it if folk put just a little bit of text before linking to something, just so I have a vague notion of what it's about... something a little more descriptive than 'what do you think of this' too! But I accept that that's probably just me....

It's a good point and I normally do that (e.g. when I linked to a clip from Play Misty For Me). I didn't do it when I linked to Teenage Kicks because I wanted there to be an element of surprise.

In future, I'll Name That Tune!
