The Basket Tree


In the 1940s, arborsculptor Axel Erlandson planted six sycamore trees in a circle and grafted them as they grew to form a “woven” unit with diamond interstices.

Edit: There is something similar done to a tree on the road I live on. If I can find the pic I have of it I will post it later. ( To be fair it isn't quite as elaborate as this)
