If Colly or Bokonon are around, Colin could even jump on a train to Leeds and we could go from here for a change!
Pay attention at the back!

The trains from Hebden Bridge to Leeds don't start running until 09:55 on Sundays so any Sunday ride involving me would have to start at 11:00 or later depending on how far I had to go from the station to get to the meeting place.

6,500 feet in 52 miles (2,000 metres in 84 km) - that's pretty hilly!

I am running 46-18 on 700c's
That's only about 2% lower than my 39/15. I'm definitely more of a spinner than a grinder and I'm not fit/strong enough to spin a 39/15 gear up a 10% hill with 15 stone of me attached to the bike!

I'm aiming to get down to about 12.5 stone again. The last time I was that weight, I didn't use the granny ring on my road bike the whole summer. The biggest sprocket I had then was a 23 so I was getting up everything in 39/23 and most things in 39/21 or 39/19. Mind you, I don't think that I did any long stretches of 20+% that year.

I'll be really interested to see how I get on uphill with the s/s bike when I'm slim again.
