As for me much as I like cheese.... it's never going to beat chocolate! (Lets see in the last two days I've bought after eight mints, matchstick things, coins for the advent calendar, flakes for cake decoration, versus some goats cheese and some mature cheddar).
What about including
Chocolate cheesecake!

One assumes that the wines will be well matched
Now there is a thought.

I like rich heavy reds with my chocolate such as a nice Aussie Siraz or Merlot.

However with cheese, especially a mature cheddar it needs to be Port. I like Warren Optima 20yr old.

Cheese can be ok. Melted on toast with ketchup and black pepper is just about ok. Or sprinkled on a good bolognese.
