Just back from collecting this Cliff Shrubb road bike .
Fully laden with Campagnolo , built using Columbus Brain tubing.

Any idea roughly when it was made? I'm confused because the shifters don't look like they belong with the frame. Otherwise I'd have said 1980's.

Difficult to be sure but I was told mid 80's , it was one of 4 being sold following the death of the original owner.

Yes, I'll bet the turns were... interesting! A lot of 'out & back' courses involved a u-turn in the road with a martial standing on the centre line.
