Based on reading this thread and the 'upgrade chainring' thread I guess Marketeers are the smartest people on the planet.
FWIW Ultegra cranksets look the pits imo - a fat grey dinner plate with a few holes punched in it.

As far as I know, r565 is only available in 50,34 teeth version. So any other cchainset with those teething would be the same gearing, is that right?
If the bottom bracket stays the same then I assume the stiffness wouldn't change as it's dictated by axle diameter and bearings, both of which are in the bottom bracket not the chainset.
