Non-cyclist to cyclist:
You cycled all the way here?! How are you going to get back?

Cyclist: I cycled 100 miles today.
Non-cyclist: Why?

Not so much a saying as a mantra when I'm going up a hard hill or mountain road, it's quite simple 'f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k, f**k' until I get to the top ;)

Actually I do have one saying. There is an awesome descent near me, steep smooth road, through the alpine forest, can easily top 50 mph. Only problem can be tourists who wander across the road without looking. I don't speak the local lingo very well here but I find they seem to understand my shouting 'coming through, move or die', it works very well ;)

My favourite one is the Lemond quote:
"It never gets any easier, you just get faster".
My version of this is "It never gets any harder, you just go slower"

I was right about that saddle
"Cycling is not as hard as running is it".

(Well, I said to myself, depends how you run and how you ride really)
