Hi there, Ive just relocated to the Bury/Whitefield area. Getting back in the habit of cycling to work again & looking to do some longer rides in the evenings/weekends. Recommend any routes/places to visit?

Your not to far from me Jeff,a ride through Bolton to Rivington is a nice run out.

I went the other way over broad head road and grain road into Haslingden then Holcombe Hill.

Cheers, I'll check those routes out. I got soaked too just as I got to Nuttall Park following Sustrans Route 6.

For local rides of about 20-30 miles from Bury, I like going over Rivington and back, or over to Darwen and back. I will sort a few routes out later.
