Do you race?

I feel a bit of a fraud. I raced on the road twice and then broke my collar bone in a MTB informal fun race. I am just starting to get the legs turning over and finding my legs just do not have it. I note that my heart rate is not what it was 7 weeks ago. So voting that I race should be past tense. Hopefully, I can get my fitness back together again before the season finishes.

When I tell people that, they seem surprised that I haven't done at least a 10 mile TT

Many TT's when I was much younger, and three crits - I finished last, next to last and last - and got a little disheartened (another chap came next to last, last and next to last)

I was invited to take part in a race for novices wonce. 30 times round the glebe in Bowness about an hour. Sod Off! I could go somewhere worth going in that time.

I ride because I enjoy it and also commute to work. Have always had bikes since I was a small child.
