So last week I did something hookum to my back and was in a lot of pain over the weekend. Today the doc prescribed Ibuprofen 600 and a muscle relaxant.

I'm able to move again. So right now, I'm incredibly grateful for cheap painkillers.

In the real spirit of the OP I would like to put forward cortisone injections as a complete miracle.

I struggled with a frozen shoulder for around 9 months before finally conceding I needed help, and got an injection in the shoulder which was fine at the time, but I couldn't sleep a wink that night due to the pain. A week later however I was swinging my arms around like a teenager again and fingers crossed, despite still having some pain, I keep the movement as it is now.
