Better idea, set up a male escort agency... well put an ad in some mags looking for men of all shapes and sizes looking to escort women in that area, request a £20 registration fee, send them a registration form and request photo (discard these at will) then if they ever phone you asking why they have not recieved any calls just say sorry no one in your area has chosen you.

They will be to embarrassed to persue it.

I'm currently jobless at moment. One of the things I was wondering, if money could be made in recycling bikes for the low waged; a bit like a bargain basement but without the BSOs. The idea would be to get people to donate bikes, employ the long term unemployed on some sort of scheme with the council to make sure they are roadworthy and then sell them for a small price to encourage people to take up cycling.

One problem at the moment is how the hell do you start such a thing off?? Any help gratefully recieved!

Rather than use them, run them. Though I don't run any 'cash back' websites, the firm I work for outside of UNI time did run some cash back websites. It's all affiliate marketing (basically, if you buy through their links they get a commission from the sale and they share a little bit of that with you). The job I've got with this firm I got just on my CV and the websites that I run for myself, didn't have a proper interview to determine it.

Sooo, for gaining a little extra money, mainly from the adverts on a couple of different websites I run. You can see one in my link (I was interviewed on BBC radio for that as it was their website of the week). I do that and some freelance work too which helps. I make more from them every month than I ever did from my old Sunday job.

Well being at college and not having a job makes cycling difficult .... I have decided upon the perfect way to earn myself some cash -

1. Visit skip
2. Build up/refurbish/repair/make shiney bikes
3. Swear loudly as there is a missing vital party that will cost ££££ to replace
4. Try again...

Recently purchased a full sus mtb that was in pretty good nick (rear axel had snapped and disc brakes are...well...not braking?) for £20 from the skip (stiney skip men!) ..... hopefully, as it is shiney, I will be able to sell it for £50 ish. If I manage to sell this for a profit then I shall continue with this trend ..... not sure how the best way to advertise the bikes will be (don't think ebay will be the best way for low level hack bikes..)

Might have a look at doing up childrens bikes aswell...wonder if these will sell better?

Its a free printed advertiser in most local areas, with an online section. Basic advert is free...ive used it several times, usually successfully.

You have not given your location. If you search for "Recycling Bicycles in (your county)" you may get an organisation like the one you describe. I found "Edinburgh Bike Station" for someone, and also one in Sussex. There is one in Worcester - www.motov8.org.uk. Go to their projects page, (otherwise you might think they just do cars).

I looked into owning a cashback website. I'd need the program as I wouldn't have a clue about such things, my search didn't come up trumps the best I could find was a white label site which is a rebadged umbrella site. I didn't pursue it any further although I'd still go ahead if the opportunity arose...

I tried affiliate links on one of my sites but had very little success with them. The best advertising I got was www.money4banners.co.uk (affiliate link ) who pay £5 for three banners on each of your sites up to 500 sites! I currently earn £25pm with them, I think it's quite difficult to get sites accepted these days though.

I took a page out of Ed Reardon's Diary and volunteered to take part in identity parades at the local police station. Unfortunately they now do it by showing the victim videos of suspects. They took a video of me and paid me £10 for it. It felt a bit depressing though, and I did look like a real villain.
