After a peleton of two-and-a-half pairs* last weekend is there a case to persuade his dellship to aim for bigger and better things next year? What is the collective noun for many tandems, I wonder? A flotilla? An unmanouvrability?
There have been other married/partnered couples on both rides I've been on - the RichPs and (gadzooks) the zeqqs to name but two who I met. And one doesn't need to be life partners to make an effective tandem pair.
*half of one pair scratched (as planned) at half-way. At one point on the outskirts of London all three tandems were riding together.
