Im having trouble shedding the last few pounds off my 37 year old stomach.
I commute every day (round trip of 24mile) on my road bike.
The trouble is i think i may have levelled off fitness wise.

Some factors:- i dont have the time to change my cycle route to make it longer.
Ive tried increasing speed, cadence, staying in the highest gear etc
i dont have the time to do any other exercise
i have 2 young kids, a demanding job, a new house that needs redecorated, a massive garden that needs landscaped, relatives on the other side of the country who need visited and so on and so on.

The jist is i have no extra time to indulge other forms of exercise

what i have come up may sound madness but how mad.....i want your opinion on if you think it will work or will it just injure/cripple/kill me?

I propose to cycle 9 mile until i reach the entrance to my employers .....the entrance is a private road that runs for a further 3 mile before i reach the office so i was thinking of stopping after 9 mile, changing into running shoes slinging the bike over my shoulder or back and jogging the last 3 mile into work.........does this sound feasible or just plain lunacy.

I really want to get my six pack back by the way.......actually i'd settle for a 2 pack

My wife looked at my profile the other day and commented "You look 3-months pregnant."

I'm cutting down on the digestives now.

Get a heart rate monitor and ride 60-80%, that way you're burning fat. Higher than that and you are burning muscle.

Also eat less than you are burning..but eat well.
