Very close one for me today too - line of slow/stationary traffic with cycle lane up the inside. I'm pootling along fast-ish because I know where the junctions and lights are. Wasn't expecting a pram to be pushed from between the cars/lorry as someone crosses from the other side of the road! A very loud "W-Urgh" from both of us. Fortunately it's a wide enough lane that I had swerve room, and they just saw me in time to stop. No harm done. But that could have been very nasty indeed.

I got overtaken by a motorist at 5am today. There was nobody else but him and I present on that bit of road, and there were 2 lanes going in our direction, of which I was using the left. But still he had to overtake me with stuff-all clearance, without bothering to change lanes. It's a crying shame that idiots like him breed.

who said outer line ?
If you were referring to me i meant close to the inner line , another words primary .
It was in response to Firestorm's post

'Thus a cycle going all the way around the roundabout in the "exit" lane can get missed.'
