I don't like reggae....

I like ska but the only reggae I can tolerate is some of the stuff by Peter Tosh. I find the rest puts a hurt on my ears.

Are they still about surely Trojan condoms have stopped production.

I love reggae, the dubber the better, Ska is ok by me too. I walked into bar on Bradford's notorious Lumb Lane in the mid 80's, a track was being played as I queued at the bar (A hole in wall covered by metal grill), the bass line made my ribs wobble, I was hooked for life on dub.

Was it not Toots and the Maytals who invented the word Reggae, although originally spelt by them as "reggay"?
One of my favourite Jamaican bands. They were at Glastonbury a few years ago, and until quite recently were still touring. Until some drunken nobber lobbed a bottle at a concert and badly injured Toots, now in his early 70's. They no longer perform live as a result .
