Reminds me of the stories my grandfather would tell me about his cycling club days. Also good to see, cyclists still stop to help each other with a dodgy tyre ( thank you to the guy who stopped last week to help with my puncture ^_^ ) and we are still attracted to every Pub on the route lol.

I really enjoyed the film, but it also made sad to think how much times have changed. I know many things are better, but still . . . :sad:

I rode my first club ride in the mid 1980's and its amazing how much places and roads have changed since then, more houses being built, more traffic and more complex road systems, even the little lanes round here can be very busy sometimes.

The Dutch film made me smile, A Dutch acquaintance told me a story about how the German troops stole bikes to leave as the allies pushed through Holland into Germany at the end of the war. She now travels to Germany for business. Each time she goes her grandfather says "fetch my bike back" :smile:
