Would buy online if I actually need something, but I don't. If people want to push past other people in order to buy last years' cut-price goods that the Supermarket want out the door, that's fine with me! My local Tesco has a sign up saying they "are not participating", and direct you to the nearest store who are participating.

I've noticed that the God of Commercialism has triumphed already. The OH was happily browsing Black Friday stuff yesterday and looked up for a moment and said "So when is Thanksgiving then?" :banghead::banghead:

One of the Sainsburys here in Derby had stacks of TVs, X-Boxes, microwaves, Dysons etc by the door earlier. I found a 240gb SSD on Amazon for cheaper than the 120gb one I bought a few months ago, so I'm happy.

Speaking of TVs, I won't buy one online. How are you supposed to leave the shop like you're in a 80s New York riot movie when it's in the back of a Transit?

I haven't found a single special offer I'm interesting in. Most of the discounts are on the same crap they had on sale/clearance last week. They've just put some new fancy graphics next to the price.

Not a single quality waterproof jacket has been added to the list of sale products
