Yep - enjoyed her screen persona. 66 seems so young these days

I read last week she was expecting one last Christmas.

Always seemed like a lovely lady when she was on TV.

My favourite memory of her is seeing her bounding on stage in a flesh coloured body suit with painted on fig leaves in the stage version of Calendar Girls.

I know her illness was terminal but the end came as a surprise as it was so soon after stopping her chemo. Was it the stopping of the treatment or simply giving up the will to live? A friend of mine died last New Years Eve after making it through his last Christmas. Sadly that goal is un-achievable for some if the body and the mind begin to shut down!

Shame, after her brave decision to stop treatment for the cancer that had spread, she only lasted a few weeks. A talented actress that will be missed.

Some one who seemed to have come to terms with her own death. Probably the best any of us can wish for. R.I.P.
Second best - the best I could wish for would be to die in my sleep, not knowing anything about it. I nearly did it the slow way and I didn't like having plenty of time to think about what was happening to me ...
