I've had my Ribble for a while now and it's an excellent ride!!

While I was waiting for it to be delivered I got impatient and bought a Boardman Team (the alu framed one) with SRAM Rival gear on it and as a comparison, on average the Ribble is about 1.5mph faster than the Boardman and you can really feel it as you're riding. The Ribble zips up inclines, where the Boardman feels pretty sluggish.

I find the Campag Centaur gear much better than the SRAM Rival. I like the ability to shift more than one gear and the front trim on the Campag is much better than the SRAM (as it can only trim on the small chainring).

The only other thing is the standard saddle on the Ribble is uncomfortable for me so I'll be changing it soon, whereas I find the saddle on the Boardman fairly comfortable.

the picture doesn't do the colours justice really, the red is almost a neon pinky red with a neon purple running down the centre of the frame, its loud when you see it in the flesh

nope it doesnt, still under warrenty so hopefully it should get sorted without hassle...

but i suspect witht he demand for this bike they may be happier to give me one of there other fame, i'd be happier with ribble nero corsa as it suits my sprinting style, and is a stiffer frame

That paintjob is stunning Tharg, even on a photo. Lovely bike.

its weird, i was outside the other day at dusk and was looking (admiring it) and the colour in the low light was awesome, it was fluorescent, looked totally different than in daylight.

Ah Bonj, your reputation as a serious cyclist is in danger. The picture above is of an Ergo from Campag's top group and as you can see it has a thumb lever. They all have it. The Centaur group on my new bike is lighter than Ultegra and of similar quality.Matthew

Shurley, shume mistake? everyone knows (except bonj) apparently, that Campag is far more superior than ShimaNO!;)

CampagNoNo is such a perennially popular cycle component Manufacturer, that there is only a single Authorized service centre in the UK and they never have any spare parts anyway:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:;)

This is the key phrase here - as opposed to a fishing tackle manufacturer :biggrin:
