I live in a flat above a business. There are four flats, as far as I can work out no-one living in the building has a car. During weekdays and Saturday mornings the carpark is used by customers. In the evenings and at weekends there are often cars parked there- it's free parking.

I've been living there five years. In the last few weeks drivers have been ringing my entryphone to ask permission to park. Why have they started now? I wish they'd just park like befiore. My entryphone makes a noise like an amplified electric chair (like this: KRRRRKKKBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT!), my heartrate goes up to about 200 everytime it goes off.

Has the business below you recently put up signs with parking restrictions on? It could be that the "regular" parkers have seen something like this and are just making sure it is ok to still park there.
