Lost count of the times I've watched "The Sting" and "Butch & Sundance"
he had great on screen chemistry with Redford.

Did he make a 'bad' film?

According to the news last night, he was so disappointed in the first film he ever appeared in, he took out an ad in a Hollywood movie paper to apologise for it so yes, he must have made at least one. I don't think many people will be able to recall any more though.
