Yes indeed. I remember he came down to London for a Christmas Friday's ride and drink-up a couple of years ago I don't think I had a chance to say hello, sadly.

That was the one where we met him at Marble Arch. was the one where we went past the michelin building and other arty farty places. was a good ride . and i chatted to him about pies.

I always thought I'd bump into him one day on a CC ride, hard to imagine now that I won't. Someone who always talked sense, especially about pies and whose many stories always entertained.
