I use the nappy cream from Asda (very cheap) on my shorts and occasionally get this when I'm running so will apply it and alls well

Spot plasters - which are the ones nurses use when they have given an injection work well. I was providing mechanical and human first aid on a 100 mile sportive last year. My mechanical skills got used a little bit, but fortunately my first aid skills were not required........except for one poor chap(ped) who had this distressing condition. He had improvised with bits of a Mars bar wrapper glued into place with soft caramel. I issued him with spot plasters and some gauze to wipe the caramel off with, but I left him to self administer.
