Taking a bike on a National Express coach

So why not cycle two thirds of the distance then jump on the train?

When are you leaving? The Virgin trains best fare finder is showing singles for £29.50 in the week beginning July 24.

I would recommend checking East Coast Trains as well. Takes a bit longer, but advance tickets are often cheaper.

Personally, I wouldn't go near a National Express coach, with or without a bike...

I find that if you break a journey (can even stay on the same train for this) I can save more then half the fare.
For example Blackpool to Kings Lynn £84. by booking BLK to Manchester then Manchester to Peterborough and then Pet to Kings I can do the trip for £36.50.

Just needs a little investigating and flexibility on times

I'm sure when i got the train down to london to buy my car on east coast it was only £70

Cheapest I can find is £107 and that's using a £30 rail card too :/
