Smash the cistern
Again posted before

St Ives Cambridgeshire had an old track that led to a pig farm

It was known as "Pig Lane"

So when houses were built on the land, the road remained Pig Lane

Then Huntingdonshire (as it was then) Constabulary built a new HQ on the road, and it the hundred yards either side were renamed "Broad Leas"
Also posted before iirc:

The police station at Sheffield airport is on Letsby Avenue. Story is that the road didn't have a name when they built it, but somebody scribbled it on the plans for a laugh and it stuck.
