Live at the Electric Circus

John Cooper is on this 10" vinyl

Electric Circus was in Gorton Manchester I think?

Playlist

0:00 The Fall - Stepping Out
2:48 John Cooper Clarke - (You Never See A Nipple In The) Daily Express
4:24 Joy Division - At A Later Date
7:31 The Drones - Persecution Complex

Side B:

10:26 Steel Pulse - Makka Splaff (The Colly Man)
16:41 John Cooper Clarke - I Married A Monster From Outer Space
18:44 The Fall - Last Orders
21:03 Buzzcocks - Time's Up

The "Very Best of John Cooper Clarke" is pretty good but it doesn't have Readers' Wives on it which is a shame.

He really is one off.

The end of the Simon Mayo show (Radio 2; Mon-Fri; 17:00 - 19:00) on my way home from the early meet of my running club

He played one of my favourite tracks, by one of my favourite bands

Then, after the news, Bob Harris (again, Radio 2, Thursdays, 19:00 - 20:00) played this.........
Which meant the radio was kept at '11' & also sang along to:angel:

A clever song, with that 'Hank & Cash couplet (@ 1.20)

I think Year of the Cat would be one of my Desert Island Discs, Lord Grenville being a particular highlight for me. The dying lead guitar towards the end is simply beautiful..

Oh no!! I love Year of the Cat
It's not a 'bad' album it's just that as a big fan there are better LPs out there,

I just get a bit 'peeved' when I mention Al and everyone goes "Year Of The Cat".
I'd post a link to 'Licence to Steal' from Last Days Of The Century but t'internet won't let me.

EDIT - I've only got 15 of his albums. :notworthy:

He's only got 3 songs; that cat one, the border thing, and Time Passages, how did he spread those out onto 15 albums?!
