If I would have the money I would buy the most tricked out frame and parts, build it naked and then just stare at it with only a tub of vaseline for company...

Don't. I did this with the last frame I built up.
It was embarrasing in A&E later that evening, and the teapot has not been the same since.
Nor has the potted cactus.
