Misuse of the word "ill" gets my goat...

No, he's not he's seriously INJURED.....being smashed to smithereens is not an illness, just as you're not injured when you've got measles !

when you phone some company up and they ask you your address or something, then they say "how are you spelling that?"
how ARE YOU spelling it, why n ot just "how DO YOU spell that?" B)
it's as if they're saying they know how everything that's spellable should be spelt, but that you've given them something they can't spell so you must be making up some custom spelling of it.
