A production about Gino Bartali, of Tdf fame and his exploits during ww2.

I'm on their dist list as I attended one of their productions years ago. Otherwise no connection.

They are offering £10 tickets during this year's Tdf for a limited time.

EDIT: with fees etc, cost per ticket seems to be £13

Charing Cross Theatre, which is a lovely, intimate wee venue, are on a roll with cycling-inspired musicals! (I saw Ride, the Annie Londonderry musical, there last year and am off to see it again when it comes back to London next month. It's currently in Leicester and well worth a watch)

Bartali's story is pretty remarkable and very much worth telling: his standing up to Mussolini, the only man in 1930s Italy more famous than Bartali and subsequent heroics in the War.

£13 per ticket seems a total bargain compared to other West End shows: cheap at twice the price, so even if you only half-enjoy it, you've had good value

Tried to persuade my son to join me last weekend, but times were a bit tight and it would have been a big, long day.

Still want to go, but looking for an excuse / someone to join me. @alicat Fancy another trip to the theatre?

Was really good. Only runs until end of July at CX, but I can't see it not coming back on one of the major West end theatres.

I enjoyed our freebie theatre trip a few years ago. I would be tempter if it were closer! And free!
