10 speed

i have a 9 yr old set of mavic cosmic elites that are 8/9 speed compatible.

so would i be right in saying that i can put new 10 speed cassete on it ?

this is because i will be building a new road bike and might buy the new ultegra groupset for it .
the wheels would not have any more that 1500 km on them are they are good as new.

would i be right in saying 8/9/10 have axle width of 130 mm.

You can put 10 spd on. The cassette is slightly narrower than 8 / 9 spd so you need a 1mm spacer. This will be included with the new cassette.
