Hi all. My dear friend, mentor and cycling buddy died from Pancreatic Cancer in September this year. He left me his road bike, and in his memory I am riding 100 miles on his bike during November as part of the Pancreatic Cancer UK fundraiser.
This might not sound that big a deal to many of you, but I am very much a fair weather cyclist, and avoid riding if it's wet, cold, dark, windy, etc - which is pretty unavoidable in November! In addition, his bike has 23 mm tyres . . . 😂
If you would like to sponsor me, here is the link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Joe1761744175601
Any amount appreciated, big or small, and I'll post updates on this link. I started on 1 Nov, and am up to 31 miles so far from two wet and slippery rides!
Thanks for reading. Photo of me with his bike below.
