What I want is electronic down-tube shifters. Styled to look like Campagnolo friction shifters but transmitting wirelessly.

what you could do is:
Fit the Wheeltop system, obviously after spraying it silver for "period" looks
Remove cables from downtube shifters
Stick black buttons to said downtube shifters
Occasionally touch said buttons
Proclaim to the world that you've that you have wireless DT shifters
