After being admitted to Bristol Sick Childrens Hospital at just over two weeks old after losing half her birth weight, MissUser76 has been discharged as an out-patient aged 12 years and 50 weeks.

It has been a bloody long haul, she was so close to death we had priest turn up at one point when she weighed in at a collosal 3lb 8oz (born at 8lb 12oz). She is now 165cm tall, and weighs 48kg, which is light but acceptable.

I cannot express my thanks to the staff at The Royal Hospital for Children in Bristol, especially Dr Spray and the Gastro team :notworthy:

Now I am going to have a few beers and possibly a few tears, don't try and stop me tonight
Fantastic stuff!! What a journey for you all! :bravo:
My lad was on the verge of being discharged last year but ended up in hospital with a CVS episode, so he's still on the 'books' (he's 15 this year).
We're crossing our fingers for this year!

Wonderful news. We had many many stays at Alder Hey over many years with Son 2 That moment when they finally say you don't need to come back again is such an emotional one.
