I've been hit-and-runned too. Many years ago on Old Street roundabout in London. A car exiting clipped my rear wheel. Thing is, as I was sat there dazed in the middle of the road, blood running down my arm, other cars hooted at me and drove on. Nobody stopped. Surreal.
Terrible!
I have seen articles where someone stopped and parked to protect the victim - and other driver beeped and complained tha tthey were blocking the road
Some people are just disgusting
I've experienced plenty of twits like that at incidents when were were blocking the road and fending-off with police cars. Seriously injusred caualties on the tarmac and eejuts swearing at us and even triving to drive thorugh the scene. They routinely record such incidents not and the worst twits get sent to court for public order or motoring offences.

I saw one of the AMbulance type programmes on the telly once and someone was on the ground with the Paramedics desperatly trying to save him
limbs bent in all directions
Police had set up blocks so the traffic could get past but was down to one lane
one driver was moaning that they could have moved him onto the pavement before treating him - so the traffic didn;t get put down to one lane!!!
Not even totally blocked - just slower - and he was still angry in full sight of the paramedics
Some people are simply chumps.
Some people are simply chumps.
Most also don;t appreciate how long it takes to stop - in terms of distance and speed - in case of an emergency
I once found myself going much faster than I though on a country road (quite wide but still!!!)
There was no other traffic around so I slammed on the brakes as I passed a field gate and stopped as fast as I could
The distance was quite impressive
I have driven slower since then!
The numbers that made an impression on me was someone telling me that if someone walks out in front of a parked bus at the same instant you start to pass it, if you're doing a legal and nominally sensible 30mph you wont even have touched the brakes when you run into them. I was skeptical till I did the sums; yep, he was right!
People go on about "better brakes" on cars, but our reflexes haven't improved a jot, and are likely worse in practical terms as there are now far more distractions, both from traffic and stupid crap within the cars
