14th June - Hayfever and Asthma day

Has anyone else been struggling with this today? My hayfever wasn't that bad but whenever there's a lot of a certain type of pollen in the air (no idea what type) I get quite bad asthma. So I'm sitting here wheezing like crazy after a 15 mile commute. Will get an inhaler in a few days methinks.

Whislt I have had a few attacks this year, today has bene the first day where I feel a constat issue with hay fever...

Might start taking the tabs

Yup, today is the first day that my eyes have been affected this year, although I've been short of breath for a few weeks now.

I had a little itchiness of the eye and a slightly runny nose, a couple of sneezes thrown is as well. It could have been much worse if I had forgotten to take my loratadine.

Asthma wasn't so bad today, I guess my preventer is doing it's job well.

You don't say where you are cycling, but I react badly to tree and grass pollen, and even in London it can be pretty bad. I get exercised induced asthma so the more I push myself the worse I get. Definitely get yourself an inhaler and use it before you set off.
My nemisis is a hill in Richmond Park, nearly got to the top without keeling over and reaching for the inhaler - all purely to the pollens in the park.

i've found the best cure is to get the heck out of dodge. whenever travelling to other parts of the country my hey fever/asthma doesn't bother me despite it being the season, yet back home i get proper hammered!

yesterday i could barely see by the time i got in my eyes were streaming, everyone in work said i looked like a stoner.

Been popping the antihistamines for the last week. Can't really tell if its the hayfever as I've also got a summer cold. Tested my lungs out with a 20 min workout last night, which I halted after 10. Could have gone on, but I figured any more risked a setback whilst what I'd done was a bit of a 'kickstart'.

Giving it a few more days.

I'm not usually so cautious, especially when I'm supposed to be into marathon training, but having seen my dad and grandma both go into hospital last week with pneumonia... I aint pushing it!

I reckon there must have been 'something in the air' yesterday - I have never suffered from hayfever, but by the time I got to work, my eyes were itching, my nose was streaming and I had a bout of sneezing. Thankfully, I soon recovered, but when I got home my wife, who does get hayfever, had been struggling with it all day.
