A simple solution when we get out polling cards /postal vote, is to give us a clue on all candidates views, it would be like union elections, where you get 100 or so words by each candidate, what there about, hopefully what makes them different, it would level the playing field for independents to some degree

I did vote, my choice did not win (based on the fact she was going to give a chunk of her salery back) -

I've chosen postal vote for a few years now, this helps with not fogetting...

I voted the same  Waited to recieve something re candidates views/policies, but on election day i looked online after receiving nothing. Was dissapointing to see prescott hadn't even submitted his manifesto to be viewed online & he nearly won (but so glad he didn't ^_^)

I knew lots about who was standing. Unfortunately, they're all idiots who seem to think they were going to be running a police force, promising things beyond their lawful influence or power to deliver, so I wiped my card on my arriss.

"I'm going to give more powers to PCSOs". No you won't, only the Home Secretary can do that.

"I'm going to get officers out from behind desks and back on the beat." Really, are you going to make my friends broken wrist heal quicker then?

"I'm going to deliver zero tolerance on anti social behaviour." Really, when due to Govetnment cuts we've had to decimate the Neighbourhood Teams and use their staff to rleplace the officers forcibly retired?

The cost of the elections and the salaries would pay for 3200 more police officers. Nuff said.

The only place I could find anything about the candidates, in my region, was on the BBC news website. Then on Thursday I caught sight of a copy of the Leicester Mercury that had a page on the election and who was standing. We don't get the Mercury, it happened to be in the staffroom at a school I was working in.
What was the £100 million spent on? Obviously not publicity.
